description: the maddock place is one of the few working farms on the outskirts of suburbia. the house is in the style of what you'd expect to see on a farm: white with green shutters and a wrap-around porch. there's a big barn and several outbuildings on about 50 acres. the maddock family raises just about every type of farm animal here.

description: Upon first glance you would think the large house was falling apart, but no it's just got a "vintage" look to it, as Landis' aunt likes to say. Vines snake up the edges and the porch swing is squeaky but it's homey. The many acres of their backyard are filled with fruit trees, bearing the fruits that his aunt carefully prepares into jams that she sells in markets. The large dirt driveway is usually vacant of cars and as you move closer to the house, you will notice the crisp black shutters and the farm house themed curtains and such. It's actually quite nice and you feel safe each time you enter the white picket fence and pass through the weeping willows.
