FULL NAME. Aislinn (pronounced ASH lin) Laurie Costigan
NICKNAME(S).Lin
AGE. 17
GENDER. Female
ORIENTATION. Heterosexual
PLAY BY. Emmy Rossum
MEMBER GROUP. Senior
APPEARANCE. Aislinn is known to be a little bit all over the place with her appearance. By all over the place I mean she doesn't really stay with one particular clique. Cylina has been known to go all over the place with her clothing ranging from 80's style to the latest in punk fashion. Cyilna has pale skin with beautiful brown eyes. She has long curly brown hair that she has been known to wear up in chopsticks. Cylina doesn't really need to wear makeup during the day, only wearing it when she is going out with her friends. Even then the make-up isn't that severe because Aislinn has very nice skin and doesn't get zits unless she is stressed or when she is PMSing, therefore giving her a breakout at a normal time and before any big test or exams. Aislinn's favorite outfit would have to be her dark blue, ripped jeans and her David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust t-shirt. They are the clothes that she wears more often. Aislinn is tall and skinny, but not 'anorexic' skinny. Aislinn is a dancer, so she is 'fit' skinny with muscles. Aislinn is about 5'8" in height and 144 lbs in weight.

PERSONALITY.Aislinn is a very loyal, honest, kind person. She is very shy when you first meet her, but after you get to know her she is really loud and fun. She has a tendency to be a little bit overdramatic, but who isn't in high school? Aislinn is very honest, sometimes to the point where it kind of gets brutal. This can hurt people that she loves, sometimes, but often times the people who know her just write it off as PMS and get on with their daily lives. When it comes to friends, Aislinn is loyal to her friends in the very essence of the word. She has a saying that has stayed with her throughout her life that pretty much explains her view on friendship. The saying is "you f*ck with my friends or their hearts, I will f*ck you up." As you can probably tell by that little saying, Aislinn seems to also have a temper at some points, getting overworked and boiling over. This is a problem because whenever she gets angry she gets violent and a couple of people know that it's very bad for Aislinn to get angry because she doesn't stop. Another thing about Aislinn is that she tends to wear her heart on her sleeve. This slight problem makes it easy for her to get hurt by people that she likes or loves. Aislinn is often depressed after her heart is broken, but the heartbroken teenager doesn't do anything to harm herself, she just paints and manipulates photos on Photoshop for hours. Aislinn's family tell people that the best way to get to know Aislinn is to look at her artwork.

HISTORY.Aislinn Costigan was born in London, England on January 27, 1991. She was the middle child of three children and she didn't like it. She grew up in London until she was 10 years old, then her family packed their bags and went to live in Suburbia, CA. Aislinn's father was in the Army when her brother and she were born, but he retired as they were moving to Suburbia, using the money that the army was giving them as a financial aid that they give all of their retired one star generals to buy their apartment.
Aislinn, Nick, and Eileen were mocked their whole life about being the children of an Army officer, even though their father was retired when they started their new schools. As Nick grew, up he kept his sexuality a secret because he knew that his father would not agree with his son being gay. Nick finally came out to his family after he brought his boyfriend home one weekend from school. Dan, Aislinn's father, did not take this very well, not speaking to Nick for a while, only to apologize to Nick for his rude behavior. Nick never fully accepted, but understood where his father was coming from. As Nick went through college, Aislinn and Eileen started public school in their new, small town. During their earlier years at the public high school, Aislinn's sister Eileen, who was trying to cope with the pressure of being under the pressure of being in her big siblings' shadows, became anorexic and was rushed to the hospital three times. Once for dehydration and the two other times for near starvation. After the Eileen incident, Aislinn's mother Colleen started to drink alcohol more than she did before. She was sent to rehab after almost dying from an OD on sleeping pills mixed with scotch one night.
Dan then took over the household, being very strict and sometimes abusive towards Eileen who seemed to have relapses of her anorexia. Nick and Aislinn barely hang out with her because they are too busy working on their homework and starting their lives. Once Eileen starts to relapse again, Aislinn notices and gets depressed, starting to draw more and more morbid pieces on her homework. The teachers notice this and ask if there is anything going on at home. She says nothing.
Freshman and Sophomore year passes and at the beginning of her Junior year, Colleen comes back from rehab clean as a whistle. She often goes into depressive states, but they don't last as long as they used to. Dan starts working as a history teacher at the local public school in hopes to bring more money into the family.

SAMPLE POST.(This is something that I did on another site with the same character, only on the other site Aislinn is an adult and a dance teacher. That is why she is teaching a class.)
The sound of the water boiling in the teapot in the kitchen rang out like an alarm bell as Aislinn got dressed for work. She had a lesson at 11:30 and she was already 5 minutes late. Aislinn quickly poured the hot water into her portable mug. The steam that came off the water as it passed through the air and into the mug swirled in the early morning sunlight, making wistful figures appear out of nowhere. Aislinn added the tea bag to the water as she set down the tea pot, turning the clear water to a dark maroon color. The scent of the tea hit her nostrils as she grabbed her dance bag and went out the door, being sure that Tim was in his kennel and the door was locked. The sounds of families having breakfast echoed throughout the stairwell as Aislinn rushed down the stairs and out onto the streets of New York City. It was a nice spring morning with people walking their dogs and jogging down the sidewalk to wake up for the day. Aislinn never really did anything that was that athletic in the morning, it just made her too tired to do her job of teaching dance for about five hours. Aislinn found her small red Volvo parked crookedly by the tree that she almost hit on her way back from that party last night. Aislinn sighed as she unlocked her car and climbed into the driver's seat. Aislinn turned on the car and turned up the heat a bit to get the early Spring frost from her windows. It had rained last night and the outside of the car was covered with a frost that seemed to glitter similarly to how Aislinn's friend's dress glimmered last night. As the heat started to blow throughout the car, Aislinn got a weird scent in her nose. It was a mixture of perfume, cigarette smoke, and alcohol. As the scent flirted with Aislinn's nostrils, the events of the past night came back to her in a way that an old movie would be playing upon a projector.
The sounds of her friends cheering her on as she took another shot, the sickness she felt as she bent over the toilet bowl and vomited, the sounds of the little girl crying in the back seat of her car after picking her up.....
The little girl.....
"I wonder what ever happened to that girl I picked up and dropped off last night." Aislinn asked herself, her Scottish accent lacing it's way through her speech as though it was the honey that she had put in her tea this morning. "I hope that she is okay."
Aislinn looked to the back of the car to the spot where the drenched young girl had sat last night. The part of the seat was dry, but Aislinn noticed something on the floor. She twisted around the chair and picked up what looked like a stuffed sock bunny that was both green and blue striped. Aislinn studied the little sock bunny for a while with her grey eyes, hoping that there would be a name on the tag or something, only to turn up empty. She put the bunny in the passenger seat as she buckled herself and pulled out of her spot. Aislinn turned the radio on and tuned it so that she could find the right station.
"Next on Pop 111.4, we have a request from Brian to a lovely Bernice with a shout out that says 'I love you baby. Happy Anniversary!' Aw.....how cute."
The man faded out to a cheesy, R&B love song about how much a man missed his 'boo' and how he couldn't wait to see her again. Aislinn turned down the radio and started to hum the song to the dance that she was teaching to the girls who she was dreadfully late for. Aislinn had been teaching dance at this studio for about two and a half years. She took up the ballet, hip-hop, and jazz slots, thus the reason for her late hours. Aislinn made her way down the streets in her little Volvo, making sure that she stayed just a little bit above the speed limit that wasn't going to get her in trouble.
Aislinn made it to her dance class just as the clock struck 11:45. The girls in her class were either stretching or sitting on the floor, but all were talking wildly amongst each other. When Aislinn walked in, all of the girls stopped and looked at her with this look that seemed to say 'finally you are here! where were you?!'. She smiled. The girls in her classes were as though they were her own daughters. Aislinn slipped on her pink ballet shoes and put in her Classical music CD into the player. As Aislinn put her long, blond hair up in a bun, she took off her little cotton shorts that had the word 'Dancer' written in script on the bum and put on her little black ballet skirt over the part where her leotard consumes her pink tights. Aislinn's grey eyes scanned the dance studio as the girls all got to the center of the room in three lines and held their profile position, waiting for their teacher to give them a command.
Aislinn curtsied as a smile curled in her pink lips across her pale face. "Good morning girls. S'ry I was late. M'alarm didn't got off. So, let's start wit' Reverence, then we will move into pirouettes t'day. How 'bout that?"
The girls nodded in agreement as Aislinn pressed the play button the little remote that was for the stereo system for the room. As soon as Aislinn had pressed the little white triangle button, a burst of strings and brass filled the room around the girls. The girls quickly picked up the rehearsed piece that they did before each class, fumbling along and all off count. Aislinn stopped the girls and told them that they were going to do it again, only to have Aislinn do it with them for the last time during the classes.
"You should all at least know the main steps of t'is dance by now." Aislinn said as she pressed the back button to restart the song and posed her finger ready to press the play button. She turned to the girls who were in preparatory position ready to dance again. "Are y'all ready?"
The girls nodded as they readied themselves more as Aislinn pressed the button again, releasing the music as though it was a cannonball coming out of a canon. The girls were better at the dance this time, but still there were still some girls fumbling along with the dance. Aislinn sighed as she walked over and took a sip of her tea, turning just as the girls were finishing. Aislinn turned off the music and sighed at the girls again as she walked to the center of the floor. Aislinn saw the reflection of the girls in the mirror who took positions for the dance that they were about to learn. Aislinn smiled as she looked at the forced turnouts and the skinny bodies that reminded her of when her sister was anorexic.
This is gonna be a long day. Aislinn thought to herself as she began one of the three long lessons that day.
